The Borealis HRR range consists of dehumidifying climate control units for indoor pools, utilising a combination of passive and active dehumidification systems to achieve maximum energy efficiency.

Description

HRR Dehumidifiers for Medium to Large Pools

High-efficiency dehumidification/climate control unit designed for indoor pools of medium and large size, suitable for installation outdoors or indoors. It features a regenerative refrigeration system with a double static air-to-air heat exchanger with an efficiency exceeding 80%.

Structure made with anodised aluminium profiles with thermal bridge break and removable sandwich-type closure panels, consisting of two lacquered galvanised steel sheets with a PIR thermo-acoustic insulation core, 45 mm thick as standard. Stainless steel condensate tray.

Refrigeration unit equipped with scroll compressors in one or multiple refrigeration circuits. Coils made with copper tubing and corrosion-resistant aluminium-magnesium alloy fins. Standard support coil for boiler with two- or three-way valve, integrated into the control.

Double air-to-air heat exchanger made of aluminium with oven-baked epoxy coating, specially designed for use in indoor pools.

Standard EC plug-fan fans with integrated pressure and flow regulation in the unit’s control system.

The HRR units come standard with a mixing section with three dampers and a return fan. Both this and the supply fan are of the EC plug-fan type.

Standard filtration: F8 in supply and G4 in return and outdoor air intake.

Panel equipped with a main switch and the corresponding protections for each motor.

Freely programmable proportional control system with graphical display for local or remote installation. Menus in Spanish. Standard IP and MODBUS connectivity. Integrated web server.

 

UNITS WITH PASSIVE AND ACTIVE DEHUMIDIFICATION

These are direct expansion air-to-air heat pumps with static and refrigeration energy recovery through a regenerative circuit. HRR units are characterised by their ability to perform dehumidification through three different and complementary systems: refrigeration dehumidification (active), thermal exchange in the heat exchangers, and replacement with outdoor air. The combination of these three systems provides high drying capacity with minimal consumption.

REFRIGERATION DEHUMIDIFICATION, ALSO ENSURED

Although these machines can dehumidify through free drying with outdoor air, their refrigeration and recirculation drying capacity is far superior to that of other competing units, ensuring drying in any geographical location and climate condition.

HIGHER POWER AND PERFORMANCE HEAT PUMP

Additionally, and just as importantly, it should be noted that the arrangement of the HRR’s refrigeration circuit elements is designed to maximise the performance of the integrated heat pump, as the evaporator functions almost exclusively with latent heat. This means the net heating capacity provided by the unit is much higher than that of any conventional dehumidifier, allowing for significantly lower heating costs.

HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH OVER 80% EFFICIENCY

Borealis HRR dehumidifiers are equipped with a double air-to-air exchanger with Eurovent-certified efficiencies exceeding 90% in standard winter conditions. Protected against corrosion with a high-quality oven-baked epoxy coating, these exchangers are specially designed for use in pool environments and manufactured by one of the most prestigious companies in Europe.

FILTRATION

Our HRR units are standardly prepared to incorporate high-efficiency filtration in each of the air circuits. As standard, they are equipped with R.I.T.E. filtration, which includes F8 filters in supply. Optionally, and without the need to add additional modules or change the machine’s mechanical elements, higher-efficiency filtration can be installed.

FULLY COMMUNICABLE CONTROL

The HRR units come standard with iPro control, programmed by Borealis for this specific application. iPro is hardware manufactured by the Emerson Group with integrated proportional control, IP communication, and MODBUS. It includes a web server with a page where the machine’s operating parameters can be viewed and modified. It can be directly connected to the building’s router with only the connection cable required, allowing monitoring from any computer or mobile device (phone, tablet, etc.)

The software is designed and implemented by Borealis, allowing us full process control and enabling continuous improvements and updates.
