Horizontal Heat Pumps for Dehumidification and Climate Control of Medium to Large Indoor Pools
High-efficiency dehumidification/climate control unit for indoor pools, suitable for installation outdoors or indoors.
Structure made with anodised aluminium profiles with thermal bridge break and removable sandwich-type closure panels, consisting of two lacquered galvanised steel sheets with a PIR thermo-acoustic insulation core, 45 mm thick as standard. Stainless steel condensate tray.
Refrigeration unit equipped with scroll compressors in one or multiple refrigeration circuits. Coils made with copper tubing and corrosion-resistant aluminium-magnesium alloy fins. Standard support coil for boiler with two- or three-way valve, integrated into the control.
Electrical panel with phase sequence detector, thermal-magnetic protection, and circuit breakers for each motor.
Standard filtration: F8 in supply and G4 in return and outdoor air intake.
Standard EC plug-fan fan in the supply section with integrated pressure and flow regulation in the unit’s control system.
“R” Version with mixing section equipped with a static air-to-air heat exchanger made of aluminium with acrylic protection, for 100% of the machine’s nominal flow. Standard EC plug-fan with integrated pressure and flow regulation in the control.
“M” Version with a mixing section with three dampers (without air-to-air heat exchanger) and centrifugal fan with transmission. Optional plug-fan.
“S” Version, without mixing section. Freely programmable proportional control system with graphical display for local or remote installation. Menus in Spanish. Standard IP and MODBUS connectivity. Integrated web server.
NEW GENERATION
The Borealis HH dehumidifier range represents Borealis’ traditional refrigeration technology alternative for medium and large indoor pools. This does not mean it is an ordinary machine, as it incorporates innovative elements and solutions that improve the performance and reliability of the unit, reducing installation and maintenance costs. The new generation of HH dehumidifiers has undergone a deep redesign with significant improvements, the result of years of experience in the market.
VARIANTS
The HH range is offered in these variants:
- “R”, with return module featuring an air-to-air heat exchanger for 100% of the flow;
“M”, with mixing module and return fan, without heat exchanger, and
“S”, without a mixing module.
“Q”, with active recovery and plug-fan fans.
In any variant, HH units come standard with a supply EC plug-fan with variable frequency drive and high static pressure, adjustable from the unit’s control. To maximise efficiency, the “R” versions also come standard with an EC plug-fan in the return.
The air-to-air heat exchanger flow in “R” versions is automatically regulated between 0 and 100% of the unit’s nominal flow, allowing the same unit to be used for different cases while providing efficient air exchange and dehumidification through outdoor air.
REDESIGNED
Additional objectives achieved with the redesign of Borealis HH units include:
- Preventing EC fans and refrigeration compressors from being exposed to high temperatures from the auxiliary hot water coil and air condenser.
- Making duct connections simpler and cleaner, reducing the number of openings and offering versatility in their placement.
- Ensuring more uniform air circulation through the coils and reducing the bypass factor.
- Providing optional inverter compressors that allow additional functions like night reduction.
ADVANCED CONTROL
Another renewed feature in the HH range is the new control system, freely programmable and with integrated communication, allowing full unit control from a BMS or any internet-connected device. Key features include:
- New interface with updated icons and messages in Spanish for improved comprehension.
- Proportional mixing (“free cooling”) instead of on/off, activated by absolute humidity comparison with thermal correction.
- Dehumidification through outdoor air.
- Additional functions: night airflow reduction, compressor deactivation, full recirculation, calendar function, etc.
- Standard communication via TCP/IP and Modbus, with optional gateways for other BMS protocols.
