Manufacturing of a high-efficiency HRU dehumidifier for the indoor pool at the ‘Faustina Valladolid’ Municipal Sports Center. This facility, located in the Vicálvaro district, is managed by the Madrid City Council.
The sports center previously had an old and deteriorated climate control unit, which required a new approach and upgrade for both the unit and the installation. To address this, a dehumidifier was manufactured by our Borealis climate control equipment factory for its indoor pool. The model produced was an HRU-250-36, installed on the exterior of the building.
This update also changes the air distribution system: the previous underfloor air supply now functions as the new return, while the new supply is directed through an overhead textile duct.
The addition of the new unit ensures optimal air temperature and humidity, eliminating condensation on the windows.
The Borealis HRU range consists of climate control dehumidifiers for indoor pools, utilizing a combination of passive and active dehumidification systems to achieve maximum energy efficiency.
The ‘Faustina Valladolid’ Municipal Sports Center (formerly known as Valdebernardo) covers a total area of 47,000 square meters, including both outdoor and indoor sports facilities. The indoor pool area specifically includes a 25-meter pool and a teaching pool.
