Borealis has designed and manufactured a new unit for the Balneario de Tus located in the province of Albacete. It is a high-efficiency dehumidifying heat pump for the indoor pool, model HRUS-080-26.
THE PROJECT
The Balneario de Tus has undergone a significant renovation of its thermal center. The area, services, and equipment have been expanded, housed in a new building that brings a substantial improvement in aesthetics and livability.
Specifically, the new pool/spa in the thermal center required an increase in power compared to the previous one, not only due to the larger area but also because it now features elements such as jets, fountains, and waterfalls.
POOL DEHUMIDIFIER
The HRUS-080-26 unit provided is a variant of the Borealis HRU range developed for spa applications, which differs from standard HRUs by allowing for the incorporation of high cooling power with a reduced airflow. This enables adequate drying in both summer and winter without significantly increasing the air volume, as would be necessary with conventional units.
Additionally, like all HRUs, drying is primarily based on the use of outdoor air injection (even in summer) and a cross-flow heat exchanger, essential aspects for ensuring optimal system efficiency.
BALNEARIO DE TUS
The Balneario de Tus is located in a unique natural setting in the Valle de Tus, along the river of the same name, in the town of Yeste. It is a hotel surrounded by the Calares del Mundo Natural Park in the Albacete mountains, featuring an outstanding spa and thermal area.
