THE R&D EFFORTS OF APLICACIONES TÉRMICAS BOREALIS S.L. ARE RECOGNIZED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF CASTILLA-LA MANCHA UNDER THE BUSINESS INNOVATION SUPPORT PROGRAM
In 2015, the project “Experimental Development of a New Flexible and Modular Autonomous Air Conditioning System” was recognized as worthy of economic support offered by the Business Innovation Support Program of Castilla-La Mancha. This project falls within the line of Technological Innovation.
The main objective of the project focuses on the experimental development of a new flexible and modular autonomous air conditioning system that overcomes current limitations. Through the set of modular elements designed in this project, compact air-to-air units can be composed in a flexible way, perfectly adjusted to their function within the corresponding installation. This project thus demonstrates the development of autonomous systems with variable characteristics, adapting to the myriad requirements of different installations.
For over 15 years, Borealis has provided cutting-edge technical solutions to numerous installations, offering high technical quality, low noise level, high efficiency, constant technological evolution, and great flexibility. These technological advantages are achieved through significant research and development efforts encompassing mechanical design, including cooling, ventilation, and the electrical and electronic control systems of the machines. Borealis has highly experienced staff and simulation tools for the refrigeration system, as well as 3D design. The result of all this R&D investment is reflected not only in sustained sales growth, even amid unfavorable economic scenarios in previous years, but also in continuous recognition from various public organizations.
The Business Innovation Support Program of Castilla-La Mancha is co-financed by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Its objective is to promote private investment and spending on R&D, improving the competitive capacity of the regional business fabric in connection with the Smart Specialization Strategy of Castilla-La Mancha (RIS3 CLM). In its provisional resolution proposal for the 2015 call, the Technological Innovation Service of Castilla-La Mancha recognized almost 150 Business Innovation projects as beneficiaries.
