Borealis has been awarded funding for a new project under the 2016 Retos Colaboración call, part of the national program for research, development, and innovation focused on society’s challenges.
The Retos-Colaboración program aims to support collaborative projects between companies and research organizations to promote the development of new technologies, apply innovative ideas and techniques in business, and contribute to the creation of new products and services.
The project, named Ebrain, was developed by Borealis Energía Térmica and Clysema S.A. It focused on enhancing the energy efficiency of telecommunications base stations by optimizing existing infrastructure. The project includes the development of a management platform that monitors and controls energy consumption in real time.
